The best open spaces create subtle transitions. A change in ceiling height, a strategic rug, or a built-in bookshelf can distinguish a lounge from a dining space—without closing the room off entirely.

Flow Matters
Think of how people move through the space. What do they see when they enter? Where do they naturally walk? Where does light fall during the day? The most successful open plans feel both connected and coherent—inviting, but also defined.
