Where it started
In 2020, the world was slowing down, but real estate was shifting. Monta Capital was born from a simple observation: there was a gap between private investors looking for real value and high-quality developers who needed more than just a bank loan. We wanted to bridge that gap. We didn't want to be another corporate fund; we wanted to be a "Boutique" partner - agile, transparent, and deeply connected.
Built on Resilience
Launching during a global pandemic wasn't the easiest path, but it forced us to be rigorous from day one. We started by supporting expat developers, building trust project by project. By 2021, we issued our first Bond, proving that our model of bridging private capital with institutional-grade assets worked. We didn't just survive the period; we built the foundation of what Monta is today.
The dual-market bridge
As we grew, our footprint naturally expanded. We saw the synergy between the historic stability of the London market and the emerging lifestyle-driven opportunities in Portugal. We built a bridge between the two, allowing our investors to diversify across the UK’s rigour and Europe’s growth, from Mayfair to Lisbon.
Moving beyond the bricks
In 2024, we reached a turning point. We realised that to protect our investors' capital in a changing economy, we needed to diversify our expertise. We launched our Private Credit division, adding a layer of security and predictability to our portfolio. Today, with a pipeline exceeding £250M, we aren't just investing in property; we are industrialising a standard of excellence.
Looking ahead
Our goal for 2030 is to reach a £1 Billion portfolio. But as we scale, the "Boutique" spirit remains. Whether it’s a residential development in London or a lifestyle project in the Algarve, we stay close to the ground, close to the projects, and - most importantly - close to "the room" where the real decisions happen.

2020 | The Foundation
Monta Capital is founded with a simple goal: bridge the gap between private capital and high-quality real estate projects. We launched our first Luxembourg-regulated fund in the middle of a global shift.

2021 | Building Trust
We proved our model by issuing our first 3-year Bond. Trust isn't given; it’s built through transparency and delivering on our promises to our early investors.

2022 - 2023 | Expansion & Resilience
While the market fluctuated, we focused on "Boutique" excellence. We expanded our footprint in London and established our presence in the Portuguese market, identifying opportunities where others saw risks.

2024 | Diversification
Launch of our Private Credit division. By financing experienced developers with secured loans, we added a layer of predictability and security for our capital partners.
