Security Structure
The core of our Private Credit underwriting is understanding downside risk and the security available if repayment does not occur as planned.
Security may include first- or second-ranking legal charges, depending on the transaction. The exact security and ranking applicable to each investment are set out in the relevant investment documentation.
Debt generally ranks ahead of equity within the relevant capital structure, subject to the specific security documents and any senior-ranking creditors.
Security Trustee
M&G Trustee Company Limited acts as Security Trustee and holds the relevant security in accordance with the security documentation for the benefit of investors.

Property transactions are typically financed using several sources of capital. Senior lenders may provide part of the acquisition or development funding, with the balance coming from sponsor equity and private capital.
Private capital gives Monta Capital greater flexibility to pursue selected transactions and build a financing structure appropriate to the underlying opportunity.
